Turkey Pillow Recipe and Instructions

 Want to make Turkey Pillows?

Do you have these leftover from your Thanksgiving meal?

Cheese ball

Like my little turkey head on my cheese ball?

Turkey
Either white or dark meat is fine
Crescent roll dough

Do you buy the 5-pack at Costco like me?

Cranberry Sauce

Who doesn't have cranberry sauce as leftovers?

Then you have all you need to make turkey pillows.

Half a stick of butter and tablespoon of Dan O's seasoning is optional.

In a food processor, combine your turkey meat and cheese ball.  About 1 cup of meat

You'll want to chop up the meat first before adding the cheese ball.

and 2 cups of a cheese ball.

Looks weird, right?

If you don't have a cheese ball, just combine a 8 oz. of cream cheese and a 1 cup of shredded cheese and some sliced green onion and salt and pepper.  (Basically make a cheese ball in the food processor.)

Pulse until well combined.

Looking a bit better.

Unroll a can of the crescent roll dough.  separate along the perforated edges, except don't tear into triangles.  You should have 4 rectangles.

Sorry this is sideways. I'm too lazy to rotate it.

Use a pizza cutter and cut the rectangles in half into squares.
You should have 8 squares.

Place a scoop of your turkey mixture in the middle of each one. I use an ice cream scoop to do this.

Now it's time to form the pillows.  Bring the corners to the middle and press the edges together to form a pillow.  You also might need to press the perforations that would have made the triangles if they are stretching apart.  Special thanks to my son for showing us how to do it.

Place the pillows on an ungreased baking sheet. I like to use parchment paper when I bake them.  If you bake them in the oven at 375 degreese F for 13 minutes, you'll want to brush on seasoned melted butter FIRST.

If you air fry them in your air fryer at 300 degrees F for 8 minutes, you'll want to brush on butter and seasonings AFTER they are done.

The seasoned melted butter is totally optional.

Then top with some cranberry sauce and enjoy!

This one was baked in an oven with butter brushed on beforehand.
