We're Not Old, We're Vintage

Written in April 2000

Yesterday I finally admitted that a baby is coming and started putting the nursery together.

I set up the crib, armoire, and changing table.  Since I'm decorating the nursery in a 1930's/1940's style I decided to get out my old baby quilt and Bradford's old baby quilt to help the effect.  As I hung them over the edge of the crib, Christopher took a look at them.

"What are these?" he asked.

I said, "These are the baby quilts Dad and I had when we were young."

He said, "These are ancient!"  Brad and I laughed.

He looked at us seriously and said, "That's another word for OLD!"
